The Foundation is committed to measuring its impact on students, teachers and schools. By evaluating our programs, we can serve our communities more effectively.
Tutoring Partnership
Tutoring works to increase student proficiency in math and reading. One school year equates to 100% of expected academic growth. Third graders in the Tutoring Partnership made on average 105% growth—compared to only 83% for similar students not tutored.

Grant Making
The Foundation funds innovative projects that support academic excellence in the public schools. Our grants provide funding to support teachers, schools, district initiatives and community partners. Over the past three years, we have given $250,000 to programs and projects in the public schools and $225,000 to community-based program initiatives.

Community Schools
We champion the community school model in Saint Paul. Community schools bring services such as health care, family services, and academic learning supports such as tutoring and mentoring to holistically support students. We have convened important partnerships by rallying neighborhood organizations around community schools. The Foundation is also a partner in the Saint Paul Promise Neighborhood initiative.
