Karen directs the Foundation’s Tutoring Partnership for Academic Excellence. Karen’s experience includes educational leadership development, high school and college-level classroom instruction, consulting (emphasis on college access), and private sector management. Karen currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Minority Education Partnership and the Minnesota College Access Network Advisory Board. Karen volunteers as an Everyday Mathematics, a reading tutor, and with the Girl Scouts. Karen holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the College of St. Scholastica, a teaching license through Macalester College, and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin.
